About the Book
Belly measures her life in summers. Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August. Winters are simply a time to count the weeks until the next summer, a place away from the beach house, away from Susannah, and most importantly, away from Jeremiah and Conrad. They are the boys that Belly has known since her very first summer—they have been her brother figures, her crushes, and everything in between. But one summer, one terrible and wonderful summer, the more everything changes, the more it all ends up just the way it should have been all along.
Reviews of The Summer I Turned Pretty
1. Rating 4.5/5
This is my first read from the author Jenny Han, and I picked it after watching a review on YouTube. I do not regret buying it at all as it was a highly entertaining read, especially for young adults and teenagers. All the characters are really likable and are difficult to let go of. The story is very relatable to situations that we face in reality. I loved the character growth throughout the trilogy and I definitely loved the ending. The author kept me hooked and I couldn’t tell how it was going to end because it had some good plot twists which blew my mind. The writing style is light and easy to understand, which makes for an amazing summer read. I am planning on buying Jenny Han’s other trilogy which I hope to like as much as I liked The Summer I Turned Pretty.

I’m so happy I purchased this with me now. It’s one of those books that certification you butterflies and snickers.
Each mid-year Belly visits cousin Beach with her mom and sibling. There they get together with Susannah (her mom’s closest companion) and her two boys, Conrad and Jeremiah. Tummy has constantly cherished Conrad. Be that as it may, she has consistently had the option to depend on Jer. He’s the security net, the sweet, uncomplicated closest companion sort of-fellow. In any case, this mid-year vows to appear as something else. Belly’s everything adult and the two young men can never again overlook the self-evident. Tummy’s transforming into a lady, a pretty lady.
What I adore most are those spine-shivering minutes. Where my own response matches Belly’s so intently. It’s sort of hard not to be frantic at her when she does stupid things, to not go gaga for Conrad when he gives you that shrewd smile, and feel frustrated about poor Jeremiah. To not have any desire to hold Susannah.
Understanding it a subsequent time brought a couple of things to my consideration. For one, I’m not very sure on the off chance that I like Belly’s mum such much. Also, I’m not alright with Susannah not talking her young men through the separation. To simply leaving them out of the loop.
